Staring on the 1st of July Madeira will have a connection by ferry with Gran Canaria and Tenerife. During 10 weeks the ferryboat “Volcán de Timanfaya” will run on Saturdays a trip departing Las Palmas of Gran Canaria at 7,30 pm and arriving at Funchal port at 8 am. The return trip is on Sundays at 7,30 pm and taking almost 12 hours to get to the Canary Island, Gran Canaria. There will be a connection ferry between Las Palmas and Tenerife harbours.

The ship “Volcán de Timanfaya” is the most modern ferry of Naviera Armas Company with the capacity to carry a thousand passengers with 250 cabins and some cars. Prices are much more competitive than the flights between Canary Islands and Madeira.
