It was already confirmed the artists for Funchal Jazz but one of the artists has canceled her world tourney due to personal reasons. This way Funchal Jazz can not count anymore with the performance of Rosa Passos for 2007 edition though the organization has already confirmed the presence of Ithamara Koorax, a Brazilian artist who "Down Beat" has classified once as one of the four best Jazz singers in the world.
The rest of the program remains and this 8th Funchal Jazz promises to be a success in Quinta Magnolia Gardens:

Ohad Talmor "NewsReel" band will peform next Monday, the 5th of February 2007, at 9,30 pm, in Funchal Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. This New Yorker jazz group will present their "brand new project, performing Ohad's brand new repertoir - with a social conscience". The elements that compose this band are Shane Endsley (trumpet), Ohad Talmor (tenor saxophone), Jacob Sacks (piano), Matt Pavolka (bass) and Dan Weiss (drums).
Tickets are 15 EUR per person and can be bought in Funchal Theatre.
